In physics, a vector is an object that exhibits both magnitude and direction. At Vector Controls, we like to think that we are a force acting to change the direction of the controls industry.

What started in 2001 with the founding of Vector Controls by four experienced controls industry professionals, quickly developed into a success story. With a initial focus on ventilation controllers and thermostats, market demand led to the development of new controller and sensor products. The modular design of these early product offerings laid the foundation for the universal, communicating controller solutions that are so highly regarded today.

It has never been our aim to be just like every other control company. Being a relatively small, privately-held company, we are not bound by the profit dictates of stockholders. Our mission is to provide control products that are innovative, intuitive to operate, and cost-effective. We believe that expensive training programs, distribution agreements and software licenses limit technology that can provide for a more sustainable world. We strive to continuously improve our customer service, quality, and product innovation.

Swiss design. Global control solutions.

Vector Controls is a truly global company. Product research and design is performed at our Wetzikon, Switzerland headquarters. Manufacturing and assembly is provided in both Switzerland and our new facility in Yizhuang, China. Our products are sold worldwide with distribution offices in Switzerland, China, and the United States.

Scalable, user-friendly products

Let’s face it, some control products are intimidating. Whether it is a thermostat or a building automation system, complex controls that are not fully utilized do not deliver full value. Vector Controls provides products that are easy to configure and easy to use. All of our products, from configurable sensors to a fully-featured building automation system, are supported by tools that are equally intuitive.

Making controls accessible

It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to implement an HVAC control system. By simplifying the design, programming, and commissioning process, Vector Controls removes many of the skilled labor barriers that have prevented advanced, energy-saving controls from being installed in buildings. That is good for all of us.
